Sitemap Layout - expand & collapse at parent level, group children by columns

The sitemap would be really user friendly for printing to pdf, sharing and displaying an overview of an entire site if we could adjust the site map layout. If we could arrange the tree of pages so that they can cluster in a group, stack vertically or be re-arranged based by a button click at the parent page level that would be awesome. Idea for button click to re-arrange would give the option of grouping / arranging the child pages in a grid 1, 2 or 3 columns. This would then lock in the width of each child group and look alot cleaner. The option to collapse or expand the children under the parent page would be really helpful also.
